“ I'd been staying in queenstown fairly frequently and felt like a change from the regular pub meal and gave Smelters a look. Early in the week it was more or less the only option open for a meal, but was glad I went. They got us in without a booking and the dining room had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. “ Given where we are the food was excellent. Scotch fillet was very big and think. The chicken parmigiana with topping was very good. Cooked to perfection. The view out the window at sunset on the hills was rugged but lovely after a day of driving. I’d suggest trying here. I think it deserves a better rating than what it currently has. ”
